Have at Least Six Painful Decisions: The Archive

Hi guys, I continue to dig through old posts looking for stuff for a new book and re-discovered this forgotten micro-series that I like a lot. The Checklist is set in stone now that it’s in a book, but I can’t figure out why this question never made it onto the list, and I wish I could add it now. Ah well.

This is great, thank you Matt. Looking closer at Alien, it seems that the 4th decision lines up directly with the midpoint disaster, and you've scored it incorrectly. When faced with the choice of kill or capture, they choose wrongly to capture which causes the death of Dallas. At that point the kill option is no longer painful, but cathartic.

Would you recommend that these decisions line up with any of the 14 steps more often than others? Or are you not really finding a strong correlation?

Oh, I had remembered that they'd already decided to kill it at that point. I haven't seen it in a while. In terms of lining up with structure points, it varies from movie to movie, but certain structure point most always involve painful decisions, like "the hero commits," "the hero finds out who his or her real friends and enemies are" and "the hero finds a corrected philosophy"

Hello there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it difficult to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I'm thinking about making my own but I'm not sure where to begin. Do you have any tips or suggestions? Appreciate it Ceramic Fiber Paper Roll for Glass
