It All Seems Pointless Now
I was going to post more about Star Trek Beyond, and I was supposed to edit the new podcast that James and I recorded on Monday night to post next Sunday, but it all seems kind of pointless now, after the election. I’m sure the despair will lighten in the coming days, just because everything that goes down must come up, but it’s hard to see that right now. I’ll be back.

I'm just glad I didn't pick this month to attempt NaNoWriMo, because this week would have blown it sky high.
I hear ya man. And to make matters worst your new book is still not out on the Kindle.
I just heard word on the Kindle! It should be up in a few days.
I hear you. I am, out of necessity, choosing to pour myself into some writing as a distraction from the noise (which is why I stopped by just now...seeking some guidance from the archives).
I'm sure that many are taking the same approach, so be encouraged that some of us baby birds are still eager to eat up your...uh...thought...worms? Or something. Metaphors are hard.

I am so sorry you are feeling despair, but I can assure you your blog has not been pointless for me. I'm a mom of soon-to-be-four; the oldest will be five this Christmas. I... have not gotten a lot of writing done the last five years.
But I find your blog inspirational, and it really speaks to the way I like to write: Structure. Analysis. Spreadsheets! Always looking for new wisdom that will help me better communicate and entertain.
I am writing a lot more lately, and while you're not the only reason, you're a part of it. So thank you, and when you're ready to get back to it, I'll be here.
